Can you stain natural stone patio

by Elinor

We have a natural stone patio that is all very light in colour. Almost a whitish grey which I do not like at all. I think it must be what is called flagstone. I would rather have a deeper shade maybe in the reddish brown colour or a wet look . When the patio is wet it looks great..They were like this when we bought the house not long ago.

Is it possible to stain it and what kind of stain would I use.

What about flagstone is that the same as sandstone.

If you liked the color of "wet look" we carry a product that gives that look. It is by Prosoco, Inc. It is a water repellant that gives a high gloss shine after it is applied.

Or you can try to obtain some sort of stain for sandstone. Keep in mind sandstone is dense and some stain doesn't sink in too deep.

Please call if I can help. Good luck
