How much mortar do I figure for grouting joints on 1050 sq. ft. patio, stone is two and three quarters of an inch thick. Average stone size is 2'-6" square.
You laid some thick stone. You must be stronger after that job. Our stone is usually an inch to inch and a half, so I'm guessing on the amount of bags.
You should start with five to six bags of Portland Type I-II cement and about 100 shovels of masonry sand and see how far that gets you. You can get that onto a standard size pick up and avoid delivery charges.
