Will the sun fade a dark flagstone

We are looking at putting flagstone in our front entrance and the contractor has shown us a dark flagstone which he claims will fade with the sun within a couple of months. Is this true?

Dear Mary Lou,

The sun seems to fade everything. We aren't familiar with your stone, so we can't say how long it would take to fade.

Ask your contractor if there is a sealer that will prevent the fading. You could also call Prosoco at 1-800-255-4255 to see if they have a sealer that will stop fading.
