WHITE LINES ON FLAGSTONE IN SWIMMING POOL

I have a pool builder that uses flagstone instead of tile in his pools.
After about 3 months a white line will build up just above the water line.
How can this be prevented? What product is safe to use to clean it off with out
damaging the stone.

First, does your stone have a sealer on it and if so try a Muratic Acid based cleaner. If your stone doesn't have a sealer on it then you are probably going to continue to have issues .
