What is flagstone?

You recommend using Siloxane PD for sealing your flagstone but when I look at the Prosoco site, they say DO NOT USE Siloxane on limestone but is OK on sandstone. So my question is "IS FLAGSTONE A LIMESTONE OR SANDSTONE?" Thank you.

Flagstone is a sandstone and my dad has used their products for years and has had great luck.
