What about climate?

I have found a fabulous source of beautiful flat stones in my village and I would like to pave my patio with them.

I love your how-to instructions, but I didn't see any mention of climate.

What's best for a coooold northern climate (New Brunswick, Canada): setting in sand or in concrete?

Any special precautions?

Dear Gina,

You probably will be ok to do it either way. We have a lot of freeze and thaw in Denver, but the flagstone laid in concrete holds up fine.

You should talk to a local stoneyard. They know the local conditions and can give you a better answer.

Your site looks great and your theme is awesome. I'm sure you're generating a lot of traffic.
