Sealing flagstone?

I just had MD Supreme flagstone put on top of our concrete porch. What are the pros/cons of sealing it? Also, If I do seal it, do I seal only the mortor joints or stone and joints?

Sealer works.

Dear Larry,

Sealer will protect your stone. However, you have to make sure to use a quality sealer. My dad has been using Siloxane from Prosoco for many years and he's had very good luck with it.

You will apply it to the joints and the stone. You can call them to get details on how you can buy it.
