Powers Grill Countertop

I live in the Tech Center of Denver, Colorado. Zip is 80111.

I'm interested in using 2" thick flagstone for the countertop on my
built-in grill. The width is about 32" and the length average is
about 50". It will be supported on 3 sides (2 long and 1 short)
by 6" wide Allen-Block concrete blocks.

Can flagstone be made smooth enough to use as a countertop?

Is this the right thickness to use?

About how much would it cost for a slab of these general dimensions?

Who would you recommend in Denver to install something like this?
