Painting flagstone

We just purchased a home. It has a flagstone porch. Some of the stones are too red for me. Is there any thing I can put on them to change the color. We can't afford to remove it. We are leaning towards the dark grey that are in some of the other stones. Can you help me with this?

Maybe a Stain

Dear Diane,

My dad has never come across that problem. Usually people want to keep the natural stone color or they want to paint it.

He doesn't like to recommend any paint or stain, because he doesn't know anything about that. He always refers customers to a good paint store.

It sounds like you want to stain your stone, so that you get a grey color or blend.

You should first contact a good paint store in your area and tell them exactly what you want. They should know of a good solution for you.

Secondly, you could contact Prosoco at 1-800-255-4255. They're the chemical company my dad calls many times. They might have the solution that you need.
