paint/faux flagstone

Hello,
I have just installed several 2" thick flagstone caps (autumn blend medium) around our pool. While the lower ones look fine because I can see the top of the flagstone color, the higher one do not appear the correct color because you only view the edges. Can flagstone be fauxed painted to change the edge colors? Thank you.

Sherwin Williams has a concrete paint, you may be able to use.

Paint doesn't usually stick to stone. It will peel off over time. Plus, it will be tough to match the color to your stone.

However, check with a professional paint store. They might know something that we don't.
