Need help with New Home Project .

I am planning on building a 7000sq ft home in Sullivan County in New York the stone that I am interested in is a mixture of Cliff stone and Pagosa Spring I really like the color but I do not want to use a veneer because I am afraid it would not hold up to the brutal New York Winters we have. Many times the snow start as early as October. I am asking your opinion on the size stone to use and where I can purchase it. I am also using the zip system for the exterior walls (You can see it on the net) would it be advisable to use block or veneer.
