Gem Stone
by John
(Gatlinburg, TN)
I have been using GEM stone from the Sawtooth Mountains of Utah for a project.
I recently moved to eastern Tennessee, and am trying to find a similiar stone in thickness (1/2" to 1"); hardness/softness (about a 6 - 7 hardness); and color (variations of everything from red to gold to brown, etc)...
I like stone that has fossils embedded in them, and can come to pick up, within reason (250 miles or less from Knoxville, TN).
If you have any clues about this, please e-mail me at carlsbadjohn@yahoo.com or call 865-277-7879.
Thank you.
