Flagstone path from back patio around house to driveway

Hi I'll trying to lay down a flagstone stone by laying directly over the grass. We have Saint Augustine grass and it tracks down to dirt once dormant by summer. I would like to make a flagstone pathway around the house it would be 80 feet long and 2.5 wide in haft square shape with rounded corners from the back patio to the front drive way.

After the grass dyes we plan put sand underneath to flatten it out. Is the possible for my wife and me to do, we are in good health condition.
