I'm interested in installing flagstone steps. My concerns are the use off de-icing products and how slippery these applications can be in wet or icey conditions.

I totally agree with David, you shouldn't have any issues with the stone getting icy or slippery , I sell alot of PA. stone and haven't had any customers have issues.

Dear Donna,

It shouldn't be any different than concrete. We live in Colorado and my dad has flagstone on his front steps. We get a lot of freeze/thaw here and the stone has held up nicely. He uses some type of de-icer on it in the winter. In other words, it shouldn't be any slipperier than concrete.
