Do I need to strip flagstone before re-sealing it

by Mike

I have some flagstone where the Original sealer has worn off. I have been told by a local flooring contractor that they need to strip the flagstone before they re-seal it (which is a very expensive proposition apparently). Under what circumstances would I need to strip the stone before resealing (if any)?

Any time you are considering resealing, you must strip the previous sealer, but you can do the job if you use the right chemicals and equipment.
