do i need to seal a flagstone hearth?

Put in a flagstone hearth for a corn burner. Wall and floor. Do i need to seal the stone or can it remain in it's natural state?

Dear Kim,

Since the stone is inside, then you can probably leave it. However, if some drinks or food would potentially spill on it, then a sealer might be a good option.

The sealer my dad has had great luck with is called Siloxane from a company called Prosoco. Their number is 1-800-255-4255 if you decide you need it.
