Arizona Flagstone

by Barbara
(Massachusetts )

We just purchased a home in Georgetown Massachusetts. The floors are Arizona Flagstone. The house is beautiful however the flagstone appears to have had a sealant put on it. Therefore it has spots where there is a lot of footwear that appears like the sealant or "paint" has been chipped or removed. I do not think it is paint but some kind of sealant. I would like to renew it. I do not know where to start. Do I sand it like a wood floor and put "something" on it. Or do I use a solvant and then paint a sealant.

I would like some direction. I love my house but these marks and scrapes on the color are driving me crazy.

Thank you

Dear Barbara,

It sounds like a cheap sealer was put on your stone.

You should call Prosoco at 1-800-255-4255 and ask them about a solution to remove the old sealer and then put on a new, quality sealer.

You can also check out their products here:

Great luck!
